The Perfect Shoe Box!

For 12 year old Ven Van Thon, the contents of his shoe box gift was the perfect compliment to the school that Samaritan’s Purse built.

Pulling a pencil case out of his shoe box filled with pencils and erasers and pens, Ven broke into a grin. “I am happy. I want to use this for my upcoming exam. This will help me a lot and I will use it a lot.”

Chom Saron, a member of Cambodia’s National Leadership Team said he could see that Operation Christmas Child had made a significant impact on the villagers of Viel Thom.

“It’s a gift of love and a tangible way to show the family that somebody cared enough to think of them this Christmas. For us it is also a practical way to express God’s love.” he said.

Thank you for everything you have done for families, communities and children like Ven this year! The way you have shown your generosity has blessed close to over 300,000 children and their families in 2009! (watch FINGERPRINTS here)
